Mary Shelly's Writing Lamp

I had the idea for this piece thinking about what kind of writing lamp Mary Shelly used to write her legendary novel, Frankenstein. This is what I imagined. As you can see from the original sketches, this little monster took on a life of its own while being created. This lamp has a built-in dimmer. While it can be used for lighting, I prefer to barely turn it on with the dimmer.
